Urban Planning Association I Concordia

"Cities have the capability of providing something for everybody, only becuase, and only when, they are created by everybody." -Jane Jacobs

We would like to begin by acknowledging that the land on which we gather is the traditional territory of the Kanien’keha:ka (Mohawk), a place which has long served as a site of meeting and exchange amongst nations.

The Urban Planning Association of Concordia (UPA) is the student elected association catering to the needs and interests of young urbanists of our communities. We post information about city planning, UPA events, and news impacting our students.

Mission Statement

Our aim is to convene, engage and stimulate the Urban Studies/Planning student body through various events, activities and hang outs. Our gatherings center around knowledge sharing, community-building and networking. UPA directly links students with professors bridging the student-professor gap, and strives to connect the department with inter-university events and the professional world. Lastly, our goal is to provide a space for our community to have fun, discover new ideas, and interact with the larger Montreal network. Be sure to check out our events and postings for more information.
