The Canadian Institute of Planners is a professional organization in Canada for those involved in land use planning. The Institute has over 6,300 members from across Canada. Founded in 1919.

L'Ordre des Urbanistes du Québec 

Depuis 1963, l’Ordre des urbanistes du Québec (OUQ) est le gardien et le promoteur de la compétence professionnelle en aménagement du territoire et en urbanisme. Ses membres interviennent à tous les niveaux de planification et de contrôle de l’aménagement du territoire et auprès de tous les types d’intervenants : ministères, municipalités régionales de comté, communauté métropolitaine, villes et municipalités, entreprises, promoteurs, citoyens et organismes communautaires, etc.

Bridging the natural and social sciences, we provide a distinctive and incisive perspective on the world through our research, teaching and graduate training in three core areas: geographyurban studies and urban planning, and environmental science.

Ontario Planners

OPPI derives its mandate from the Ontario Professional Planners Institute Act, which came into force in December 1994. OPPI also has the mandate to grant the Registered Professional Planner (RPP) designation, govern the rights and responsibilities of its members, and set academic, experience and examination requirements for membership.
